Žlutý kopec Water Reservoirs

One of Brno’s best recent discoveries. Vast brick reservoirs hide below ground like underground cathedrals or a scene from fantasy. Immense, mysterious and seriously photogenic.

Open Garden

Just below Špilberk, a green oasis hides right in the city centre. It is an eco centre, but you can simply wander, sit on the grass, watch the sheep and take a break from the pavement.

Káznice on Cejl

A former prison with a dark history, now home to alternative culture, exhibitions and concerts. The past is tangible here, with a raw atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the city.

Franz Kafka Špitál

Another excellent Brno transformation. This former hospital is slowly becoming a cultural centre for summer cinemas, pop-ups and exhibitions - a beautifully weathered courtyard with soul.

Brno Passageways

Not one place but a whole network. Walk through Alfa or Omega passageways to move through the centre like a local, discovering tucked-away cafés, shops and a city within the city.
